As I write these words, I am sitting at my kitchen bench, which comfortably holds ten stools. I am looking outside through an expanse of glass facing North and West, covering 15 metres in length with a floor-to-ceiling height of more than four metres. "Building a house is a very personal thing. Using the right architect is essential because you are involved in the process for a long time, and need to be comfortable and work well with the architect. The difference between a good house and a great house is very much dependent on the skills, foresight, and interpretation of your likes and dislikes by your architect. We have used Rob Mills to design a home for our family three times. We have also had the misfortune to start to use other architects. So we feel that we are highly qualified to understand what constitutes GREAT ARCHITECTURE. Working with Rob has been a pleasure. He continually surprises us with changes that he feels will improve things, even after we have said we are OK with the design. His attention to detail is outstanding and his interpretation of our needs has been incredible. We can say, without a shadow of doubt, we have loved the experience of working with Rob on the project and love the results. He ensures that the final product meets our needs now and into the future. His use of space and proportions is incredible and the feel of the finished product brings great pleasure.
We enjoyed the experience so much that we have used him on 2 large projects and are hoping to find another block to be able to use Rob to design the 3rd house for us, this time it will be the last one.
