One of the great privileges of this site was that it overlooks the Royal Botanic Gardens. The architecture is deliberately bold, reflecting the ambition of South Yarra’s forefathers who created this unique suburb, while ensuring every home experiences its connection to the Gardens in its own way.

Botanica Residences is a boutique collection of three whole-floor residences overlooking Melbourne's Royal Botanic Gardens. Every apartment has been individually designed to embrace its unique relationship with the landscape, whether through expansive views across the gardens, the surrounding tree canopy or a private garden sanctuary. Sculptural architecture, generous proportions and abundant natural light create calm, uplifting interiors that respond to their remarkable setting. The result is a collection of residences where nature is not simply admired, but becomes part of everyday life.
Each residence has its own identity while sharing a common architectural language. The penthouse captures sweeping views beneath soaring 3.6-metre ceilings, extending naturally to a rooftop terrace with a pool, outdoor kitchen and entertaining spaces that rival a private resort. Throughout the interiors, curved walls, steel-framed glazed doors, richly veined natural stone, polished plaster and carefully selected timbers create an atmosphere of warmth and refinement. Every material has been chosen to strengthen the connection between the architecture and the natural landscape beyond.
Travel continually reminds me that great architecture responds to its place in unique ways. At Botanica Residences, that inspiration came together to create homes that draw light, landscape and wellbeing into everyday life.

The things we choose to live with become part of the story of our lives. A favourite chair, a work of art, an object discovered while travelling or something passed from one generation to the next can hold meaning far beyond its function. We believe a home should make space for these things and allow new memories to gather around them. Furniture, art and objects are therefore never simply the finishing touches. They help transform architecture into something deeply personal: a home that could belong to no one else.
